Maple Ridge Estates Summer Picnic 2022

Updated: Aug 25, 2022

Phew! Is summer already almost over? With only a few days left before the new school year, we said goodbye to Summer in the most memorable way. A super fun Maple Ridge Estates picnic, of course! This was the first MRE event since before COVID (more than 2 years ago), can you believe that? The event was a huge success. We had over than 70 residents (adults and kids) join us this year for the El Gran Taco truck, beer keg, drinks, and desserts courtesy of our HOA. There was even a raffle for 50% off 2023 HOA dues! Did you fill out a raffle ticket? Two winners were chosen at random, read on to find out who the winners are!

We had quite a few new families join our neighborhood this past year. We met the following and were so happy we got to chat with them! I know we have some homes listed for sale right now so we may be getting more new neighbors soon.

  • Tina and Adam who have two teenagers and two dogs

  • Sarah and Justin and their two kids

  • Jared and Bailee and their Chihuahua Taco

  • Jared L and Mikie and their dog Zola

The annual HOA meeting kicked off with Toni (President) who spoke about accomplishments of 2021 and 2022. Followed by Pete (Treasurer), who updated us on expenses, outstanding dues, dues increase, and what the HOA has in reserves. Lizz (our Social Media guru) and Jenn (VP) touched briefly on the new MRE website and features. Al spoke about what the Architectural Control Committee (ACC) has been working on to ensure our development remains looking beautiful and safe. Be on the lookout for complete details in the meeting minutes. You can find this on the right side menu on the Forum page under Meeting Minutes category.

Lastly, a very special shout out to Jesse for making the spinach and the cheese samosas to tide us over until the much eagerly awaited El Gran Taco food truck to make its “Gran” entrance. See what I did there?? 😉 and congratulations to the winners of the HOA dues discount for 2023!

A huge thank you to the HOA Board members who helped organize, set up, and clean up after the event. Your hard work is appreciated. Thank you everyone who made it out to the event as well as those who wanted to but couldn’t (we missed you, it's the though that counts!). Can't wait to see you at our next event.
