Join your fellow neighbors in either shopping or selling during our garage sale weekend. This is a great opportunity to find something useful at a deep discount or to clear out your home and garage of things you have stashed away for far too long. You know what I'm talking about...those weights you swore you'd use, that dresser you never got around to refinishing, or that bike you forgot was sitting in the corner of the garage...
The garage sale will be in tandem with other Fairwood area neighborhoods so there will be more traffic (this is a good thing, I promise). The banner will be hung at the 156th Street entrance in advance.
Tips:
Grab a comfy chair, a drink and relax nearby so you're easily accessible to buyers
If it's a hot day, fill a cooler with ice and water bottles to sell for $1 each
Put items of the same price all together or in the same box
Offer a "free" box for items that could be used for parts or are stained but still usable
Price every item (or throw all items of the same in price in a box)
Display kids' clothing by size/gender
